‘Spoiler alert’ - A warning that an important plot detail is about to be revealed.
Regardless of how it’s consumed, art is inherently a shared experience. When you watch a movie, good or bad, there is a need to share that experience with others. But people don’t want to know the plot twists or the ending. That would spoil the movie! We hate spoilers. Hence spoiler alert!
However, In life, we yearn to know precisely what the future holds.
We plan our days, weeks, months, and even years! We want to have a clear vision of what we want to accomplish during our 20s, 40s, and even our golden years. We plan the exact money we should have in our bank accounts for safety and security. We plan where we will live and how we will live. That’s what mature people do.
Life, the craziest movie ever, should be predictable. [Slow clap]
First of all, It is super cute to think that our story will play out as we expected, that everything will fall in place exactly how we planned, beat by beat!
Second, Wouldn’t life (like movies) be boring if we already knew what was about to happen? Why not let the plot twists surprise you? Savour that single moment when a sudden positive shift happens - because it will, or when all your plans go haywire - because they will! More often than you might think!
That’s the thrill of living a life, a story.
Spoiler Alert: Nobody knows what is coming! And THANK GOD for that!
Any prediction about the future is just ‘hope’.
As a father, I often wonder what I should tell my son about life and the future!
After all, I have been in every situation he is in or will ever be in. I know pretty much how all scenarios end. I have been drunk at parties. I have crashed my car. I have had fun, and I have been made fun of. I’ve witnessed the end of friendship eras and the birth of new ones. I’ve seen loyal friends and those who resort to games to alleviate their insecurities. I have seen money, and I have seen what it cannot buy. I have seen the right ones and I have seen the wrong ones. I have seen a crowd, and I have seen solitude.
I have seen this movie called ‘Life’. I should tell him ‘something’!!
Big question is, what would I REALLY like to tell him and …. you?
#SPOILER ALERT!
when will the NCR shows happen
